Private Groups
Private Groups are a dynamic and versatile tool that WSG members have access to in order to work on common projects, effectively network and exchange knowledge and information with other WSG members or non-members.
Private Groups work exactly as the Open Groups however, only the member who formed the group is able to invite new members to the group because the Private Groups are not visible to the membership at large. These groups are visible only to those who are members of that particular group, and they are listed in each individual’s personal profile. Private groups allow non-WSG members to be included in the group, and give these third parties complete access to use the systems within the group.
The purpose of a Private Group is to allow members to create a personal, custom-made group of professionals who may be members of WSG or non-members. Private Group users have access to the following tools:
Communications – Members of the group can send each other e-mails which are distinctive as they have the option of displaying the sender’s picture on the e-mail with links to the sender’s individual firm profile.
Documents – Members of the Group can upload documents common to the group on WSG’s server. These documents can be downloaded by members and used for further discussions / interactions.
Projects – Members can use this tool to manage projects by scheduling tasks and sending reminder e-mails to the assigned person. The entire project schedule can be displayed graphically or in a tabular form.
WSG Connect - This is a paid service not maintained by WSG that allows members to communicate and post documents in a completely secure environment.
